ToyMart uses the descending-price/Dutch auction system.
How we work:
Your collection will be held on our secure premises and insured for the minimum sale value (reserve).
Your collection will be sorted into lots.
Each lot is then carefully photographed and accurately described.
You will be informed by post as to our intended start/maximum* and reserve sale prices.
After you have reviewed our start and reserve prices your lots are then listed onto the ToyMart auction site for sale at the start/maximum price. If we do not hear from you within 7 calendar days it will be presumed you wish us to go ahead.
Our buyers (we have over 7000 registered users) can now begin to purchase you items.
After 1 week any unsold lots will be reduced in price by 12.5% and by a further 12.5% every week thereafter until such time as the reserve price is reached or the lot is sold.
On purchase of your items we carefully pack your toys (at the buyer’s expense) and despatch them to their destination.
Once all your lots have sold or reached the reserve price we will contact you with the results and to discuss the way forward with any unsold lots.
*The start/maximum price will be equal to what in our opinion is the maximum reasonable retail price.
ToyMart Fees: (new rate as of 21 April 2009)
Our standard commission rate to you as the seller is 17%. Individual A+/A (or better) items with a reserve value in excess of £100.00 will be charged at 7%. VAT will be charged on the commission only.

With very large collections we can arrange personal collection and any fee for doing so will be agreed at the outset.
